Overview

  • We don’t publish specific release dates.
  • Features in the Beta Program's releases are not guaranteed to be the same as the finished product or officially released system-wide.
  • Access to Beta Program releases or features may be rescinded without prior notice.
  • Beta releases should never be used for critical business functions or operations due to the risks they might carry.

What Is the Beta Program?

eTailPet engages with clients to test new software releases and features so the development team can gather feedback and insights. Participation in the Beta Program is a great way to stay familiar with the software and steer the direction of feature development.

All beta software is still under development at the time of release, may be inoperable or incomplete, and may contain more errors and bugs than current system-wide products. In any case, Beta releases should never be used for critical business functions.

Forms of Beta Software:

  • Access to eTailPet features not visible to the public and before general release.
  • Access to new eTailPet functions of specific features before general release.
  • Prerelease access to entirely new products before official release.
  • Prerelease access to alpha/beta versions of existing products.

Beta Program Support

Beta program releases are governed by the eTailPet standard Feature Request Policy, Bug Fix Policy, and Support and Service Policy with the following exceptions:

  • Beta software support is subject to additional processing times. It is not subject to any SLA agreements, even when one has been negotiated.
  • Bug fixes are prioritized lower than most defects of already available software.
  • New feature requests are typically flagged as Beta and placed into Deferred status immediately so that the product team can accumulate feedback then review holistically.
  • Bug reports are typically flagged Beta and immediately placed into Long Term backlog status so that the development team can accumulate defect reports and optimize development resources.

Terms of Use for Beta Releases:

We may offer certain Products to you at no additional charge, including free accounts, trial use, and Beta Versions, collectively known as “Beta program.” Your use of the Beta program releases is subject to any additional terms that we specify. It is only permitted during the Subscription Term we designate (or, if not designated, until terminated in accordance with these Terms). Except as otherwise outlined in the End User License Agreement, the terms and conditions of these Terms governing Cloud/SaaS Products, including restrictions, fully apply to Beta Releases. We may modify or terminate your right to use any Beta program releases at any time and for any reason in our sole discretion, without liability to you. You understand that any prerelease and Beta Products, and any prerelease and beta features within generally available Cloud Products, that we make available (collectively, “Beta Programs”) are still under development, may be inoperable or incomplete and are likely to contain more errors and bugs than generally available Products. We make no promises that any Beta Versions will ever be made generally available. In some circumstances, we may charge a fee in order to allow you to access Beta Versions, but the Beta Versions will remain subject to this section. All information regarding the characteristics, features, or performance of any Beta Releases (including Beta Versions) constitutes our Confidential Information. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all obligations or liabilities with respect to Beta Releases, including any Support, warranty, and indemnity obligations. eTailPet reserves the right to revoke Beta access at it’s sole discretion without notice. For eTailPet's full Terms of Use, see our Terms of Service.
